
Royal Charter of Titles
Preamble
By the sovereign authority vested in the Royal House of Phoenix—and in sacred alignment with justice, divine law, and matriarchal governance—this Royal Charter of Titles is hereby enacted to establish, classify, and protect the noble and honorary titles of Phoenix Micronation. These titles form the spiritual and legal framework of national honor, eternal stewardship, and royal distinction.
Sovereign Title
Her Majesty Queen – The Sovereign Matriarch of Phoenix Micronation, who alone holds the authority to issue royal decrees and confer all noble and honorary titles listed herein.
Succession Title
Heir Apparent – The designated successor to the throne, named by the Sovereign Queen, affirmed by decree, and confirmed by the Sacred Assembly.

Proximity Titles
These titles reflect relationship to the reigning Sovereign Queen and are conferred at her discretion:
- Queen Mother – Mother of the Sovereign
- Crown Companion – Spouse or companion of the Sovereign
- Princess / Prince – Children and grandchildren of the Sovereign
- Crown Duchess / Crown Duke – Siblings of the Sovereign
These titles are symbolic and conferred at the discretion of the reigning Sovereign Queen. They expire upon the transition of sovereignty unless reaffirmed by the incoming Queen.
Upon reaffirmation, the title shall bear the name of the Queen who originally granted it, to preserve the sacred lineage of proximity. Therefore, a child or grandchild of Queen Anelia shall be known as: Her Royal Highness Princess of Queen Anelia and His Royal Highness Prince of Queen Anelia.
This designation ensures that proximity titles honor the unique reign in which they were bestowed, reinforcing the legacy of divine merit and sovereign identity within the Royal House of Phoenix.
Eternal Noble Titles By Decree
These are conferred by royal decree in recognition of merit, service, or sacred alignment. Unless otherwise stated, they are permanent but they are not inheritable.
- Duke / Duchess – Overseers of national-level sectors or major functions
- Count / Countess – Mid-tier leaders of state-level jurisdictions
- Baron / Baroness I – Regional governors
- Baron / Baroness II – District heads
- Baron / Baroness III – Local stewards and community leaders
Honorary Titles By Decree
Granted for loyal service, sacred duty, or national contribution:
- Knight / Dame – Defender of Phoenix, honored in ceremony
- Lord / Lady – Courtesy title, often honorary
- Patron – Recognized benefactor and supporter of the nation
- Guardian – Protector of the Sovereign and royal sanctums
- Matron – Elder woman of counsel and spiritual wisdom
- Ambassador – Diplomatic representative of Phoenix abroad
- Chancellor – Chief legal officer and counsel to the Queen
- Emissary – Special envoy on sacred or international mission
- Priest – Ecclesiastical guide within the national spiritual order
- Scribe – Recorder of royal decrees, annals, and sacred records
Article I — Classification of Titles
Section 1.1 — Proximity Titles
Honorary titles tied to the familial relationship of individuals to the reigning Sovereign Queen. These:
- Are valid only during the reign of the current Sovereign,
- Expire upon succession unless renewed by decree.
Section 1.2 — Proximity Titles
Titles granted for merit and service through royal decree, anchored in divine merit, to ensure that Phoenix Micronation remains a realm where honor is earned through service, devotion, and alignment with sacred purpose—not inherited by default. This principle upholds spiritual integrity over nepotism, ensures continued excellence in leadership, reflects our matriarchal vision of a justice-centered nation, and honors the divine covenant at the heart of Phoenix.
These:
- Are permanent unless otherwise specified,
- Are non-inheritable,
- Are independent of familial proximity,
- Shall be recorded in the Eternal Scroll of Titles.
Article II — Eternal Titles
Section 2.1 — Proximity Titles
An Eternal Title is a noble rank conferred for life and perpetuity, sacred and irrevocable.
Section 2.2 — Protection
No Eternal Title shall be revoked, diminished, or reassigned by any future Sovereign, Council, or Steward.
Section 2.3 — Recordkeeping
All Eternal Titles shall be:
- Entered into the National Archive of Phoenix Micronation,
- Inscribed in the Eternal Scroll of Titles,
- Publicly honored during national ceremonies and high holidays.
Article III — Amendment and Interpretation
All interpretation and execution of this Charter shall rest solely with the reigning Sovereign Queen, advised by the Royal Stewards. This Charter may be amended only by:
- A reigning Queen with unanimous consent of the Sacred Council, or
- A Conclave of Sovereign Matriarchs (if multiple exist in succession).
